“Breaking the Chain” is a meditation on the feminine and a representation of the journey from chains of oppression into unabated wholeness. It is about the feminine finding herself after millennia of being lost in the darkness of being subjugated as an object, as prey, as property, as anything other than the radiant and powerful being who she is.

It is the feminine finding her voice to take a significant role in healing, restoring, and reintegrating the fractured aspects of humanity which have been brought low by a culture of aggression and predation, an “each man for himself” type paradigm.

“Breaking the Chain” also relates to the generational and even ancestral traumas and relational patterns that each human being carries within them. The piece represents the power within each one of us to overcome our programming and begin to make conscious choices to reforge healthier relationships with ourselves and the people around us.
