Associated with the air element; serves as the bridge between upper and lower chakras

The heart chakra symbolizes our boundless capacity for love. It is located at the emotional center of the body, the heart. Here, we can alternately be overwhelmed by our emotions -- hate, jealousy, despair, desire -- or become transformed through a deep pull toward compassion, unity, forgiveness, and peace.

Signs that the heart chakra is out of balance include:
